E&M Logistics Enters Next Phase of Growth Under Mill Point Capital’s Ownership

(“E&M”, or the “Company”), one of the nation’s leading direct store delivery (“DSD”) distributors of ice cream, frozen and fresh foods, and beverages, announced that it has partnered with Mill Point Capital LLC (“Mill Point Capital”), a middle-market private equity firm focused on control-oriented investments in the business services, industrials, and IT services sectors in North America.
The Mill Point team employs an Executive Partner model and has extensive experience investing in transactions in the distribution and business services sectors. For the E&M transaction, Jim Schubauer, an industry veteran with over 30 years of operating and management experience, will serve as Mill Point’s Executive Partner. Previously, Jim Schubauer served as the President and CEO of one the world’s largest premium food distributors, where he successfully professionalized a family-owned business through the expansion and refinement of overall operations. Jim Schubauer will serve as Executive Chairman and CEO of E&M upon the transaction closing, with the active support and insight of Martin Kelly, founder of E&M.
