Avenu Adds Illinois Staff, Clients

Greg Karr, former president of AmAudit, has joined Avenu to lead the revenue enhancement and administration operations for cities and counties in Illinois. Avenu will assume contracts previously managed by Karr.
The addition is part of Avenu’s national expansion strategy and gives the company renowned talent with deep relationships among leaders in the state’s local jurisdictions.
Karr’s career includes 16 years of finding revenue opportunities through compliance audits in Illinois. These have covered sales taxes, utility taxes and cost audit services for natural gas, electricity, wireless telecommunications and cable. Karr has been responsible for finding more than $30 million through audits of more than 100 communities.
